Sheer JOY!

Just look at the sheer JOY on Gable's face in this picture. I took him to the rec center to participate in an introduction to a program called Little Dragons. It turned out to be a combination of karate, tumbling and self-defense. It is for kids between the ages of 4-7. The instructors split all the kids up into 3 groups and once they got started the kids did not stop at all for a full hour. Gable was in heaven considering that it was February 4th and he had been cooped up all winter. Having a place and a reason to run, jump, yell, throw balls and karate chop was just what he needed. Emma came along with us and was invited to participate. She had just as much fun and it did my heart good to see them with cheeks flushed and breathing hard. After we were done with the session Gable naturally wanted to sign up for the class so he could come every week. Much to our dismay the classes were full. Now that we know about it we will be prepared and sign up early next year.
