Christmas Lights

We went to see the lights at Temple Square the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The lights were great, but our timing was off...
You can't tell by these pictures, but there were people EVERYWHERE! It was hard to even walk let alone keep our family together. Our trip turned into a quick look and then getting out of there as soon as possible! Even though it was busy we are glad we went. It is always fun to go to Salt Lake at Christmastime.
We got to Salt Lake before dark and spent some time at the Church History Museum. When we came back out to look at the lights Gable was ticked. He thought we were going to look at the drive thru lights in Spanish Fork. We had a hard time getting him to smile for the pictures.
Baby bundled.
We finally ended up sticking Gable in Sophie's stroller and pulling the top down on him. He was actually much happier there...and we finally got a smile out of him! Next year we are going to see the lights sometime between Christmas and New Years and hopefully avoid the crowds!

We usually go and see the lights at Temple square every year. We didn't make it this year darn it. I had no idea it was so crowded that first weekend after Thanksgiving. Glad to know. We usually go on a Monday night for FHE and it hasn't been too bad.
