What Are Your Happys?

Each night before we tuck our kids in bed, we ask them, "What are your happys?" and listen to the highlights of their day and then we ask, "What are your sads?" and listen to the disappointments too. Tonight, as I tucked Gable into bed, I got the best "happys" list yet! It was the longest and most in-depth list, and especially surprising because it came from a rambunctious 6-year old! Here is his list. It melted my heart! :)

"That I have you, and a nice warm place to stay, and a house with people that care about me. A mom that loves me and a calendar with chocolate in it (advent calendar). People who save others' lives and Santa and Jesus and Dad and Gehrig and Emma and Sophie."

What a great little boy! He reminded me of our blessings and I am going to bed with him at the top of my "happys" list.
